I’m Phil Nguyen, a Magic: The Gathering player based out of New York City. I’ve been playing the game since Ice Age (the set, not the long period of temperature reduction). I took a break after Mirrodin was released but return to the game in 2016.
When I returned to Magic I jumped into the Legacy format where I played Lands and Depths. I discovered the Premodern format in 2018 and have since made it my primary format. In Premodern I’m known for brewing up decks (Nic Fit False Cure, FishNought, Mono Red Control, and ZombieTaxStill) as well as creating community resources like the Introduction to Premodern guide and the Premodern Deck Pricing Tool. I also upload videos to my YouTube channel.
What is BANDING?
BANDING is my love letter to the Premodern format. I publish format discussions, interviews with members of the community, announcements of upcoming events, deck techs on established lists and new brews, highlighting content, and more.
